Hengshan Lu to Jing an Si / Shanghai Basement Karaoke and Table Tennis

The second installment of Language comes from Xiao Zhong, one half of Shanghai noise punk duo Pairs. Here's his description of the recordings:

"Had to get up early after drinking some Cockroach Cocktails served by a hot lesbian girl that was bar tending in a gay bar the next night as the special guest. Went and met Adam to take him to a studio near a McDonald's but he'd never gone there so I met him at Jing An Temple subway station on the line 7 platform.

The first recording is me walking about by my front gate and getting on Line way and transferring to Line 7. it's all pretty average stuff that you'll hear on the subway. Sometimes girls get fingered by their boyfriends, sometimes there are fights, sometimes a kid shits on there. But sadly, nothing eventful happened this trip. The second recording is after we finished in the studio, we went outside and we had to walk past this basement karaoke place that has the music playing at deafening volumes whilst old people sit there and drink baijiu. Right next to that was a cute mum and her son playing table tennis. They were pretty good, even had that crazy way of holding the paddle. So I recorded that and at the end you can hear an old guy on a ladder hiding something in the roof."
